Great Horwood School is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled Combined School teaching children between the ages of four and eleven.
The original school building, was built in 1868, and houses the Foundation Stage and Year 1 class. The main building, added in the 1960's, houses three classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, an ICT suite and Library, along with the Reception area, office, medical room and a disabled toilet. There is an additional block of two classrooms and cloakroom area.
The school's normal catchment area consists of the villages of Great Horwood, Thornborough, Nash, Beachampton and Whaddon. Normally children join us in the Reception class and in Years 3 and 4 from First Schools in the area.
