How to add a document

Choosing a catergory
Firstly you choose an exsisting catergory from the drop down list, if the catergory who want is not there you type it into the box below. In the future the new catergory will also be available in the drop down list.

You can also type in a sub catergory for your documents. Back to top

Automatic generation of a table of contents.
You will be asked if you would like a table of contents generated from your section headings. For this document I have chosen yes, if you scroll back up to the top of the page you can see that there is a table of contents.
The entries in this table of contents become text links so visitors of your site can select a section they want to read click on the section title and be taken to the relevant section.
If your document is long enough that you would need to scroll to read it, then it is web etiquete to provide a table of contents. Back to top

Multiple attachments
More than one attachment can be made to a document but each attachment needs to be made seperately.
To make multiple attachments go to the browse buttton below section 25, and make an attachment then scroll up to the top of the document and save the document. Reopen the document to edit it (by clicking on the document title and then on the edit button) and then repeat the attachment process. Back to top
Deleting Attachments
Once an attachment has been made a link to it will appear underneath the document.
To delete an attachment reopen the document to edit it (by clicking on the document title and then on the edit button) and you will see the attachment with a sentence above it saving "mark attachments for deletion" simply click on the box and a tick will appear. You then need to scroll back to the top of the document and press the save it button. The attachment will then be deleted. Back to top
Cutting and pasting documents from Word to save time
Documents are often lengthy so rather than retyping them on-line into the documents section of your web site simply cut and paste (or copy and paste) them from Word or many other word processors. Back to top
